GTA 3 Staunton Island and Shoreside Vale Guide: Mid-Game to Final Island

Staunton changes the pace

Staunton Island is Liberty City's central business district and the second major area unlocked. Roads are wider, traffic is faster and missions increasingly involve longer routes.

Key Staunton districts

Bedford Point, Newport, Torrington, Belleville Park, Rockford, Aspatria and Fort Staunton are major areas. The central park and grid make orientation easier once you learn the avenues.

Mission-order warning

Kenji Kasen and Donald Love chains can conflict. Complete Kenji's available missions before advancing the Donald Love story through the event that removes Kenji as a mission giver.

Opening Shoreside Vale

Shoreside Vale is the third main island and includes Francis International Airport, Cedar Grove, Pike Creek and Wichita Gardens. It opens later through Donald Love story progression.

Late-game completion

Once Shoreside Vale is open, finish remaining packages, jumps, rampages, vehicle lists and island-specific phone missions. Compare your save against a 100% checklist before the final story sequence.

Browser performance by island

Scene complexity and traffic differ by area. If FPS changes between islands, compare frame time and temperature before assuming map corruption. A lower FPS cap can improve consistency on weaker hardware.
